From the band that brought national attention to Philadelphia's pop music scene, The Hooters' David Uosikkinen is recording what he feels, are the Essential Songs of Philadelphia.

Uosikkinen chose to revisit songs recorded in Philadelphia or written and performed by Philadelphians. These essential songs will feature the band
ITP (In The Pocket), a rotating line up of Philly's most respected musicians.

IN THE POCKET: ESSENTIAL SONGS OF PHILADELPHIA's fourth single is "Soon You'll Be Gone" originally performed by The Hooters in 1980. It is a tribute to The Hooters original band members, John Kuzma and Bobby Woods, who sadly passed away this year.

FEATURING:
David Uosikkinen - The Hooters - drums
With:
Charlie & Richie Ingui - Soul Survivors - lead vocals
Rob Hyman - The Hooters - keyboards/melodica/vocals
Jay Davidson - Steve Winwood, The Funk Brothers - sax/vocals
Fran Smith, Jr - The Hooters - bass
TJ Tindall - Gamble & Huff - guitar
Eric Bazilian - The Hooters - melodica

"We lost two incredible musicians and friends with the passing John Kuzma and Bobby Woods," explains Uosikkinen. "When it came time to record another song for In The Pocket, I wanted to pay tribute to John and Bobby. They helped to create that signature ska sound of the early Hooters and owned The Hooters' version of Soon You'll Be Gone, never to be duplicated. This is a nod and a thank you to them and their extraordinary talent."

A portion of the proceeds benefits Settlement Music School.
